War is one of those topics that can be hard for parents to talk about with their kids. How much do you tell them? How do you explain? With Remembrance Day coming up on November 11th, the media and schools will be talking a lot about what that day is all about. For tips on how to have that talk at home, check out our article on Talking to Kids About War. Another thing families can do at home is to have your child write a short letter to a Canadian soldier currently serving around the world. You can do this by logging into www.tvokids.com and joining in on the Thank a Soldier letter campaign. Kids can type in their message and include their first name and age. The message will be sent along to the men and women currently overseas in honour of Remembrance Day.
