We had a great day at Word on the Street this year. We especially enjoyed meeting so many of you at our TVOParents tent and sharing a little of what we do. We offered you the chance to enter a contest to win an e-reader and hundreds of you did. Today, our lucky winner received his e-reader. Congratulations to Hossein Vahid-Banasaz who wrote this about the day: "Thank you all for your perfect performance that day and all your educational support for kids. Radin loves your channel and thank you again for making us happy with this prize."

Well, thank you Hossein and Radin for stopping by our stage. I hope you enjoy your new e-reader.

If you missed us at Word on the Street, you can watch and/or listen to events of the day right here. We've posted all our interviews and performances.

Poet Dennis Lee read his famous poem "Alligator Pie" and spoke to me about it afterwards.  Author Kyo Maclear spoke to me about her book "Virginia Wolf"  and singer/songwriter Jill Barber sang "Baby's Lullaby" and talked to me about it afterwards. Here she is performing on stage. Lovely.

You can also download podcasts of all the interviews and performances.  Enjoy.
