There's a party at Penelope's house. The whole family is gathered together for a fun Christmas Eve. After dinner the presents are opened. Penelope gets maracas and a bee costume. She puts the costume on and hides but she pops out again when the Christmas cake is served - she doesn't want to miss it. The happy family all sing a Christmas song.

It's naptime at school. Everyone falls asleep except Penelope. She counts ducks in her head. But before she reaches ten, she gets muddled up. ,5,6,7... does 9 come after 7?,. She decides to count cats instead. But she gets muddled up again. When she finally manages to count properly, she falls asleep just as the others are waking up.

Penelope plays with her twin cousins, Milo and Madeleine. The twins are younger than Penelope. Penelope feels like their big sister. Penelope does everything with them: she draws, plays hide and seek and eats biscuits. Penelope enjoys her role as big sister and tries to teach them things. However, the twins are mischievous and not everything turns out as Penelope planned. Sometimes even Penelope makes mistakes. The bedroom gets very messy. It's Penelope who tidies up. Looking after the twins has exhausted Penelope. She really made the most of her day as a big sister!
Penelope Makes Biscuits

Penelope and Lili-Rose are going to make biscuits. They break the eggs and mix the butter, flour and sugar together. Once the batter is ready, they cut out ducks, star shapes, and letters of the alphabet. Not all of them are a success. One of the letters is P for Penelope. Next, Mum puts the biscuits in the oven. A delicious smell fills the room. The biscuits are a great success, and everyone enjoys eating them.

Today is Grandpa's birthday. What should Penelope give him? She cannot make up her mind whether to give him flowers, toys or sweets. Penelope finally decides to draw a picture of Grandpa. When she has finished, it does not look like Grandpa at all. When Grandpa sees the drawing he says: ,Oh! How lovely, it's a picture of Penelope!, Grandpa is very happy and has a wonderful birthday.
