Math Is Everywhere: Inside Nicole Hoang's Classroom

TVOParents visited Toronto's Joyce Public School where teacher Nicole Hoang leads her grade 5/6 class in solving a math problem. Using technology like SMART Boards and Apple Laptops, Hoang assigns a rich math task to engage the students encouraging communication and group problem-solving. It's a technique called rich learning. Joyce PS is a school that has been an innovator in teaching math and hosts parent-child evening sessions to help with math education.
